AUDITIONS | SUN SEP 21

We are excited to announce that our Live Sounds of Sevcon Showcase is in preparation! SOS ’25 will be held on Fri 12th December at Canterbury Hurlstone Park RSL Auditorium. This is a spectacular venue with an incredible live stage. Historically the biggest event on the Sevcon Calendar, SOS is a night filled with entertaining and unique performances put together by our wonderful students and teachers - always a big finale to the year and a night to remember. SOS will involve solo performances, group performances and choir items. Our aim is to involve as many students as possible. It’s always a lot of fun and we’d love to have you involved! If you would like to be considered for a performance on the night, you will need to come along and audition on Sunday 21 September at Sevcon, or, submit an audition video by Sat 20 September.

Audition & Concert:

1. You should audition with a song that you feel best demonstrates your vocal and performance ability.

2. If you are successful, a song selection process will follow. The audition song will not necessarily be the song performed in the Showcase.

3. Similar to previous year’s showcases, SOS ’25 will feature duets, trios & group performances as well as individual performances. Therefore, you may be asked to join a group after the audition. There may be some rehearsals involved.

4. If you are unable to attend the audition date, or, if you prefer, you are permitted to audition via video submission. Videos must be sent via email to reception@sevcon.com.au or, via WhatsApp to Sevcon on +61 416 734 756. Your video will be viewed on the audition day (Sun 21 September), and must be submitted by 5pm on Sat 20 September at the latest.

Auditions will be held at Sevcon.

Sevcon Choir:

All students are encouraged to join the Sevcon choir! The choir will perform the opening and closing acts of the showcase - these are always a major highlight of the event! There will be some rehearsals involved in the lead up and the tracks/parts will also be provided via Youtube for at-home practice. The choir is run by T Tofa. Please note if you would like to join the choir ONLY, you do not need to audition. The choir is open to all students - you can just let your teacher know to count you in. Auditions are only required for students who would like to be considered for a ‘feature’ within one of the showcase performances/sections.
